What is your expectation for the show?
Improv Comedy
Was your expectation met?
Mildly, improv is hard to judge because so many factors are at play, I didn’t enjoy it as much as I expected to, it felt more like theatre sports than a show to me. I felt the story telling was weak and focussed too much on callbacks and wild backstories than present events.
Not every improv show is great, I fully expect that if I saw them again on another night it could be so much better.
What was your most memorable part?
When the ask for was “Something you’re looking forward to” and the pack of boomers whose previous calls included “a lady’s vagina” responded with the dark suggestion of “Eternal rest”, and the couple sitting behind me started discussing weather “Eternal rest” was a band and if they’d heard of it before.
Did you fall asleep?
No.
Any notable mentions?
The all supported each other with cute little quirks, sound effects and scene enhancements.
What was the audience like?
I’d describe them as Court Theatre types, white, wine and noses popping out of their masks (and lots of them).
