How did the show as a whole make you feel?
I think exultant with the success of the success of Eric is leaving the cult and the power shift of the High Chair man. So many glorious puns.
What did you think it was about?
I imagine it's not a coincidence this play is on during a time of extremist cult movements in NZ, as that is what it seems to explore, the criminal smarts sucking in desperate suckers into a movement against themselves and their families and sending them out to pull in event more suckers. Told quite hilariously.
What was your most memorable part?
Mr High Chair man's moustache falling off during his entrance.
Did you fall asleep?
No. Though at the point of Eric almost leaving the cult but being sucked back in I did start to feel like “ugh” which likely reenforced the satisfaction of his redemption.
Any notable mentions?
Reverend T. Able 🤣
What was the audience like?
Small, but into it.
