How did the show as a whole make you feel?
Grateful for a relatively traditional parental situation. One free from the curse of the Catholic Church. So that was when I thought the intermission was the end of the show. π
I donβt really remember what I thought of the whole show, all I can remember is being so incredibly angry at the actions of the Nun.
What did you think it was about?
Mothers, and their right to chose to be happy and direct their life in the face of overwhelming cultural and religious pressure, misogyny and corruption.
What was your most memorable part?
Hearing how the father of the child lost his own mother and a child in a stampede, and the effect it had on him and his life that started this series of events.
Did you fall asleep?
No.
Any notable mentions?
- Rob can sing! ππ
- The depiction of the Catholic priest and nuns were convincing enough to make me feel physically sick during the lord's prayer.
